Cornerstone Community Church is a Pentecostal church in Edmonton where people from different cultures, backgrounds, and generations worship and grow together.
We believe the Gospel of Jesus Christ changes lives. Our desire is to help people know God, grow in His Word, and experience the presence and power of the Holy Spirit.

Our Mission
Our mission is to share the Gospel, help people find assurance of salvation in Jesus Christ, and strengthen the church family. We desire to care for those in need, proclaim healing to the sick and hurting, and bring God’s message of hope to our world.

Our Pastor
Chad Fisher is the lead pastor of Cornerstone Community Church.
He boldly shares a message of hope, healing, and faith, with a
heart to help people grow in their relationship with God and
experience the fullness of His Kingdom.
Chad is passionate about the presence, power, and leading of
the Holy Spirit. Together with his wife, Maryse, he welcomes you to
discover what God is doing at Cornerstone.

Our Core Beliefs
The core beliefs of Cornerstone Community Church are grounded in the foundational truths of the Bible. These beliefs shape our teaching, guide our ministry, and help us grow in our relationship with God.
SCRIPTURE
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired
Word of God, without error, and the final authority for our faith and conduct.
The Bible reveals God’s truth and teaches us how to live.
GOD THE FATHER
We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
God the Father is perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. He cares
for people, hears and answers prayer, and welcomes all who come to Him
through faith in Jesus Christ.
GOD THE SON
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life and died on the cross
for our sins. He rose bodily from the dead and ascended into heaven,
where He intercedes for His people. He will personally and visibly return to
earth.
GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts people of sin, leads them into truth,
and brings new life to those who believe in Jesus Christ. He dwells in believers,
helps us live holy lives, and equips the Church with spiritual gifts. We
believe His power and gifts are active in the Church today.
SALVATION
We believe all people have sinned and need God’s forgiveness. Salvation is
available only through Jesus Christ and His sacrificial death and resurrection.
All who repent of their sins and place their faith in Him receive forgiveness
and new life through the Holy Spirit.
BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
We believe baptism in the Holy Spirit is an experience distinct from
salvation, available to believers, with the initial physical evidence of
speaking in tongues. Jesus Christ baptizes believers in the Holy Spirit, empowering
them to share the Gospel, serve others, and live for God.
THE CHURCH
We believe the universal Church is the Body of Christ, made up of all who
have received Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. The local church is a community
where believers worship, grow in God’s Word, pray, care for one another, and
share the Gospel with the world.
WATER BAPTISM AND COMMUNION
We believe Jesus gave the Church two ordinances: water baptism and
the Lord’s Supper. We practise water baptism by immersion as a public
declaration of faith in Jesus Christ. Communion is open to all believers
and reminds us of His sacrifice until He returns.
TITHES AND OFFERINGS
We believe the tithe belongs to the Lord. We also believe in giving voluntary
offerings and helping those in need. Everything we have comes from God,
and we are called to manage it faithfully and give generously, willingly,
and joyfully.
DIVINE HEALING
We believe divine healing is an integral part of the Gospel and has been
provided through the atoning work of Jesus Christ. We pray for the sick
with faith and expectation, believing healing is available to all believers.
LAYING ON OF HANDS
We practise the laying on of hands when praying for the sick, ministering
baptism in the Holy Spirit, and setting people apart for ministry. We trust
God to work through prayer according to His Word and the
leading of the Holy Spirit.
THE RETURN OF JESUS CHRIST
We believe Jesus Christ will personally and visibly return to earth and establish
His Kingdom. There will be a final judgment and the fulfilment of
God’s promises to His people.
ETERNAL LIFE
We believe in eternal life through Jesus Christ. Heaven is a real place where
those who belong to Him will spend eternity with God. We also believe
in the reality of hell and eternal separation from God for those who
reject His salvation. This gives urgency to our calling to share the Gospel
with love and hope.
